FACTS

More than 100 unique badges were used

This generative installation, created for STid in collaboration with Prosigma, transforms RFID badges into living, evolving visuals. Each visitor becomes a participant. As they present their badge, the booth responds in real time, light ripples, patterns bloom, colors shift. Every badge triggers a unique design, making identity not just functional but expressive.

Three discreetly embedded readers activate different zones of the piece, turning the installation into a dynamic triptych. One triggers crystalline structures, another fluid motion, the third abstract glyphs that feel almost like a forgotten language. Each visual is a translation of the badge's unique ID, a fingerprint rendered in pixels and light.

Built as a web-based experience, the system is plug-and-play. No need for apps or installations, open a link, and it’s live! The visuals run smoothly in the browser, while secure access and real-time communication between readers keep the piece synchronized and reactive throughout the day.

This work bridges identity technology and digital art, revealing the invisible codes we carry and giving them form, rhythm, and beauty. It's proof that security can be poetic, and that even the most utilitarian object, like a badge, can become a brushstroke on a shared canvas.
